Around twenty-five thousand homes in south-east Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms swept through the area, generating powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.
Large Hailstones and Broad Impact
Locals witnessed giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.
